TEE Guest House (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates a guest house in Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia. This policy explains what information we collect from guests and prospective guests, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies whether you contact us through our website, by phone, in person, or through WhatsApp.
1.Information we collect
We only collect what we need to handle enquiries and manage your stay. This may include:
- Your name;
- Your contact details, such as phone number, WhatsApp number, and email address;
- Booking details, such as your requested check-in and check-out dates, number of guests, and room preference;
- The content of messages you send us (for example, an enquiry or booking request);
- Records of your reservations, payments made at the property, and stays with us.
2.How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Respond to your enquiries and booking requests;
- Create, confirm, change, or cancel reservations;
- Send you booking confirmations and updates about your stay;
- Keep accurate records of bookings and guests for our own business administration;
- Comply with any legal or regulatory obligations that apply to us.
3.WhatsApp and messaging
We offer WhatsApp as a way to reach us about bookings. When you message our WhatsApp business number, we receive and store your message, your name as shown on WhatsApp, and your WhatsApp number so that we can respond and process your enquiry. Messages are delivered to us through the WhatsApp Business Platform, which is provided by Meta; your use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp’s and Meta’s own privacy terms.
4.How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We only share information where it is necessary to run our business, for example:
- With service providers who help us operate — such as the messaging platform (Meta/WhatsApp), our email provider, and our booking and hosting systems — solely so they can provide those services to us;
- Where we are required to do so by law, or to protect our legal rights.
5.How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and manage your booking, and to keep reasonable business and accounting records afterwards. When it is no longer needed, we take steps to remove or securely retain it.
6.Your choices
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, subject to any records we are required to keep. If you no longer wish to receive booking-related messages from us, let us know and we will stop.
7.Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of storing or transmitting information is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your details.
8.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Please check back for the latest version.
